Description
30" (76 cm.) l. x 12"h. x 11"d. The wooden-framed open-front doll rooms have original exterior paint with architectural designs in red and blue striping that extend to the front posts,original floor and wall papers including wainscoting and ceiling borders,three windows at the back and an opening between the rooms with richly-paneled opening door. The parlor is furnished with a blue ceramic parlor stove,early mahogany rolled arm sofa with blue silk upholstery,matching chairs,checkerboard game table,corner cabinet with mirrored back,and early desk with unusual domed roll-top. There is an Erzebirge wooden candelabra,metal birdcage,various framed wall prints,and other accessories. The bedroom is furnished with ebony style furnishings in the Wagner & Sohne style including a marble top dressing table,ormolu shelf,unusual milk glass hanging lamp. There are four dollhouse people including moustached man in original uniform,and an unusual bisque doll with sculpted bonnet and jointed limbs. The underside is script marked 94 (or 24).
