Description
10". Standing upon a green tin platform base with three spoked wheels is a bisque-headed doll with brown glass enamel eyes, closed mouth, brunette mohair wig, bisque shoulder plate, carton torso and legs, wire upper arms, bisque forearms. She wears her original gold silk satin dress with magenta silk vest and sleeves, decorated with black lace and gold coins, and carries a tambourine. Marked "G. Vichy Paris". When wound, the wheeled platform moves forward, then twirls, then repeats. The girl turns her head from side to side and waves the tambourine. Circa 1880.
