Standing upon a tall velvet covered wooden base is a slender-bodied bisque-head doll to represent woman, having blue glass paperweight eyes, open mouth, brunette mohair wig, bisque shoulder plate, shapely torso and slender legs, bisque forearms with gracefully shaped hands. She is wearing gold taffeta silk fitted costume of Spanish lady with black velvet vest edged in coins and pearls, black lace skirt overlay, elaborate neck collar, black velvet cap, and holds a bell-decorated tambourine in her right hand, while bell-trimmed ribbons are held between her two hands. The key is marked L.B. The original music label on underbase has LB symbol and lists two tunes, one name is illegible, the other is Le Bleu Danube.
Movements: She nods her head from side to side as though dancing, her right hand twists back and forth at the wrist to shake the tambourine, and her left hand raises and then lowers swinging the ribboned bells. Circa 1890.
