Description
The Charles X wooden cases with rich burled walnut veneers, columnar side with bronze capitols, fittings and hand-cast excutcheons contains the parlor organ with 13"L. x 3 1/2" D. pinned wooden cylinder that offers ten tunes. The 13-key organ movement features 3 ranks of open and closed pewter pipe work including piccolo pipes (39 pipes in all). The bellows are airtight and the musical arrangements sound very nicely.
Historical References: The original paper label on the music cylinder describes Antoine Henry of Mirecourt, and his services (see photo.) The organ, with superb cabinet in rare size, is notable for its original paper label, and original condition. Circa 1830.
