Description
5" (13 cm.) One-piece bisque head and torso, blue glass side-glancing painted eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, slightly open O-shaped mouth, brunette mohair wig, loop-jointed bisque arms and legs, modeled bent elbows with pointing finger, painted white stockings to above the knees, flat black one-strap shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: JIO c. 1920 44 (incised). Comments: one of the trio of character dolls designed by the American artist, circa 1920, made in Germany. Value Points: rare doll with original wig, great expression.
