15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,narrow blue glass inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,lightly-feathered brows,closed mouth with accent lines,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,all-wooden fully-articulated body with shapely torso,dowel-jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,extra swivel-jointing on upper arms and legs,swivel wrists,nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent,original body finish albeit worn,two toes chipped. Marks: 2. (head and shoulders). Comments: attributed to Gaultier,circa 1870. Value Points: rare wooden body with extra luxury articulations.
