A firm-sided box with colorful paper cover depicting a scene of children playing with the block is labeled "Jeu de Cubes Comique",and contains a complete set of six-sided blocks with amusing scenes of faces and costumes of various persons,including clown,woman,and such. Directions for playing with the blocks to amusing and comical results are pasted to the interior lid. Excellent condition. French,circa 1890.
