15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head,small blue glass sleep eyes,painted curly lashes,short feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with downcast wistful expression,accented lips,blonde mohair wig,composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing,wearing antique pink cotton romper suit. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig 115/A 38. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt,circa 1912,from their art character series,this doll and his girl companion,#167,were once owned by the Campbell children of the Campbell Soup company,according to oral provenance. Value Points: wonderful expression enhanced by finest bisque and complexion,great toddler body with chubby details,original body finish,antique costume.
