Description

27" (69 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, painted light brown boyish hair with enhanced decorative glaze, blue glass sleep eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, incised eyeliner, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth in laughing expression, sculpted dimples, shaded and accented lips, two porcelain upper teeth, tongue, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, left hand repainted. Marks: K*R S&H 116 68. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, from their transitional art character series, circa 1912. Value Points: fine large size allows full expression of the sculpted character features, enhanced by finest matte bisque, wonderful antique costume comprising woolen herringbone coat, black woolen pants, black knit stockings, leather ankle boots.
