Description
19" (48 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, blonde brush-stroked baby hair with slight modeling detail, blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, outlined lips, two porcelain lower teeth, composition bent limb baby body, antique costume and bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: JDK made in Germany 16. Comments: Kestner, circa 1912. Value Points: fine modeling includes laughter creases around eyes, dimpels, beautiful quality of bisque, original body and body finish.
