11" (28 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with oval face and elongated throat,sculpted black hair with wide pouf curls at each side of face and a very high "beehive" topknot,painted facial features,blue eyes,defined eye sockets,single stroke brows,closed mouth with center accent,slender kid body,wooden limbs,painted coral flat shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1840. Value Points: rare coiffure and beautiful original costume with rare lace leggings and coral silk bows to match unusual painted shoes.
