12" (30 cm.) x 10" x 2 1/2"d. A wooden theatre with charming painted scene of a village and flower and garland decorations has a paper background of a mountain scene,and presents six carved wooden"docken" dolls with loosely-hinged legs and thin wire supports designed to allow the dolls to appear as though moving. The dolls are each painted in original vivid colors,including faces,hair,and costumes; each is different and imaginative. European,circa 1875. Excellent condition.
