10" (25 cm.) The black metal handled parasol has brown silk cover and rare carved bone trim including tip cover, points of tines, and handgrip that is in the shape of a prancing horse hoof; enhancing dark tint dramatizes the carving. Excellent condition. French, circa 1865.
