20" (51 cm.) An ebony base with blown glass globe displays an exceptional wedding arrangement, based upon 19th century French traditions, comprising one unusual shaped mirror surmounted by five mirrors arranged in star-shape; a similar mirror arrangement is in front of the red velvet tufted cushion, and an unusual number of very elaborately embossed ormolu symbols surround the mirrors including large dove with wreath, another dove, 11 poppies,12 bouquets of wheat sheaths and flowers. A wax orange blossom bouquet rests upon the cushion along with matching blossom jewelry and tulle. Excellent condition. French, circa 1885.
