13" (33 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head of adult woman with oval face and elongated throat, modeled bosom, black sculpted hair waved around side of face and drawn into tightly braided chignon at the back of head, inset black glass enamel eyes, delicately painted lashes and brows, closed mouth, very slender kid body with tiny waist, wooden lower arms and legs with painted flat green shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1850. Value Points: rare early glass-eyed model with fine original finish wears her original gown with matching undergarment.
