Description
12" (30 cm.) x 22"h. x 14"d. The wooden two-story dollhouse features a narrow shape with set-back second floor porch having an opening door and heavy-paper-stock porch railing with original gilt finish. The porch railing is repeated on full-length first floor porch,and there are five steps leading from the street level to the opening front door that is protected by a wooden overhang. The house has original lithographed paper cover on exterior walls and doors with elaborate architectural detail,at attached door bell,and interior built-in elevator that operates from turning handle at the outside. The interior walls are recovered and the blue wooden roofs may be repainted. Germany,circa 1890,attributed to Moritz Gottschalk.
