40" (102 cm.) l. x 15"h. x 18"d. The wooden room box with original gold-accented cream-painted finish has three fancy columns at the front,and includes a large parlor with window and a set-back windowed alcove,and bedroom with window; each window having its original matching wooden valance and curtains. There are original wall and floor papers and an opening door between the room. The parlor is furnished with a honey-toned wooden parlor set with unusual porcelain bead tips and velvet upholstery,and a matching very fancy dessert buffet and writing desk with attached side cabinets; a grandfather's clock stands in the corner,and there is an ormolu etagere,ormolu floor standing lamp with original shade,ormolu-framed lithographs and mirror,large cast metal oil lamp with milk glass shade,six-arm chandelier,birdcage on stand,and Erzebirge wooden tea set. The bedroom is furnished with a rare mahogany-stained set comprising bed,washstand and night stand with ornate ormolu trim,another mirrored armoire,pair of wall-hanging velvet magazine holders,faux-tiger rug,and a wonderful set of three Art Nouveau publicity prints for a fashion shop. Two pairs of bisque dollhouse couples are included highlighted by man with rare black hair and moustache,two all-bisque children and a pup. Overall very good/excellent,excepting stain on right side bedroom wall-paper (under wall-hanging tapestry). Germany,circa 1900.
