7" (18 cm.) l. desks. 8" largest doll. Included is a wooden platform to which are attached three wooden double desks and benches,the desks with hinged slant tops and porcelain inkwells. Along with a matching professor's desk and a folding wooden floor easel,and with a selection of children's work books,maps,and other study guides. Included is a bisque head doll as teacher,with glass sleep eyes,paper mache body,antique costume,marked 1079 by S&H; along with a bisque pouting boy with glass eyes and closed mouth by Gebruder Heubach; another bisque head doll with painted features,pouting expression,closed mouth,composition body,wearing pretty red cotton school dress,by Gebruder Heubach,and a matching pair of glass-eyed all-bisque boy and girl with wonderful red knit caps and antique costume. Generally excellent. Germany,circa 1900.
