Description
20" (51 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, brown sculpted hair waved across the forehead in boyish fashion, blue glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, brush-stroked feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, accented lips, two porcelain teeth, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: BSW (in heart) 2048 4 1/2. Comments: Bruno Schmidt, circa 1912. Value Points: fine luminous bisque and painting on the handsome lad, wearing antique sailor costume with anchor-embroidered handkerchief, saddle shoes.
