12" (30 cm.) All-bisque figure depicts a laughing toddler who has climbed inside his Papa's comfortable old shoe and now is busily trying to lace the shoe; featuring deeply sculpted blonde hair with forelock curl,downcast intaglio eyes with heavy eyelids,feathered brows,closed mouth with beaded upper teeth,dimpled cheeks,sculpted white smock with ruffled edges and blue bows. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach (sunburst mark). Comments: Gebruder Heubach,circa 1910. Value Points: among the rarest and most extravagant of the Heubach piano-baby series featuring an extraordinary size,and outstanding sculpting and with charming detail such as baby's toes peeking out the worn hole at the shoe front.
