Solid wax shoulder head with very expressive features,downcast bead (?) eyes,rounded face,piquant smile,wooden block torso with shapely waist,wooden fingers with expressive carving,hemp wrapped legs and feet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: early 19th century,probably Neopolitan. Value Points: compelling facial expression,superbly carved fingers,very fine original silk costume with metallic fringe and gilded paillettes.
