Description
Each 2 1/2" (6 cm). Each has bisque swivel head with loop attachment, bisque torso and peg-jointed limbs, painted blue or black boots, mohair wig, original costume. CONDITION: generally excellent. COMMENTS: French, circa1890, the tiny dolls were advertised in Paris department store Etrennes catalogs, named "Lillyputians" or "Les Nations" in reference to their elaborately detailed regional costumes. VALUE POINTS: 24 different costumed dolls are included, each with wonderfully preserved costume and headdress.
