11" (28 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head of plump-faced woman with modeled bosom, brown sculpted hair casually waved from face into a loosely-coiled bun, inset enamel eyes, closed mouth with slight smile, two upper teeth, tow-wrapped posable armature body with carved wooden lower arms and legs, blue stockings, yellow shoes with red bows, wearing original silk costume with old-printed-paper lined skirt, laced bodice, embroidered apron. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, especially charming expression, modeled bosom.
