Description
5" - 10" (13 - 25 cm). Each is one piece bisque head, torso and legs modeled together, with loop-jointing arms having starfish-shaped hands, modeled blonde forelock and topknot, side curls, painted side-glancing googly eyes, thickly fringed lashes and upper eyeliner, dash brows, pug nose, closed mouth with impish smile, blue wings, blushing detail on body. CONIDITION: generally excellent. MARKS: O'Neill (feet)(two with original heart label, one with paper label on back). COMMENTS: Kewpie, designed by Rose O'Neill, produced in Germany, circa 1915. VALUE POINTS: pleasing graduated size arrangement of the delightful imp.
