Bisque socket head,brown glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading,thick dark eyeliner,painted lashes,brush-stroked and multi-feathered brows with decorative glaze,accented eye corners and nostrils,closed mouth with richly-shaded lips,modeled tongue tip,pierced ears,brunette human hair over cork pate,original Gesland body with composition shoulderplate and lower limbs,padded stockinette torso over metal armature allowing elaborate posing. Condition: generally excellent,some retouch on composition shoulderplate and limbs. Marks: 11 F.G. (scroll,on head) F. Gesland Bte SGDG Paris (body stamp). Comments: Gaultier Freres,circa 1890. Value Points: beautiful doll with especially beautiful sculpted and painted lips,choice bisque,rarer signed body,superb antique costume.
