Description
4 1/2" and 5" (11,13 cm). Each is one piece all bisque figure of Kewpie-like figure with blonde sculpted topknot, side-glancing painted googly eyes, fringed upper lashes, dash brows, impish smile, modeled standing inside an egg, with arms and legs bursting out, arms outheld with starfish-modeled hands, indented line at waist for ribbon sash. Condition: small is excellent, larger has virtually imperceptible reglue at neck. Comments: Germany, circa 1915. Value Points: wonderful rare pair of googlies in amusing pose.
