Each has porcelain shoulder head with painted facial features,muslin body,the man with sculpted short finger curls and porcelain limbs,and the woman with black painted pate under elaborate original braided human hair wig,and wooden limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1870. Value Points: wearing wonderful original folklore costumes,the man with velvet suit having bolero jacket and short breeches,wide red sash,and velvet cap over bandana; and the woman with pleated sateen blouse under beaded velvet vest,silk skirt,undergarments,stiffened paper bonnet.
