Description

24" (61 cm). Very slender faced porcelain shoulder head lady with elongated oval face and throat, black sculpted hair in center part with thick braided coronet at top of head that forms into a loosely coiled bun at the back, some stippling detail above the ears, blue shaded eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, muslin stitch-jointed body with carved wooden limbs, antique costume. The doll has original paper label on front torso "Willhelmsfeld Jenny Lind 1840" with crown and symbol. Goebel, circa 1880. Examples with original paper labels are very rare to find.
