Each is all-bisque with one-piece bisque head,torso and legs,loop-jointed arms with starfish-shaped hands,and having classic Kewpie features including topknot,side curls,forelock curl,blue wings and painted side-glancing googly eyes with enhancing decorative glaze. Condition: generally excellent.,some fraility to his suit. Marks: O'Neill (feet). Comments: Kewpie,designed by Rose O'Neill,circa 1915,the dolls were popular centerpieces in the early 1900s for wedding celebrations. Value Points: the pair wear their original costumes,she in ivory satin ribbon "gown" with orange blossom bouquet and tulle veil,and he in crepe paper formal suit.
