Description
Of very crisp silk taffeta in muted apple green color with interwoven narrow stripes of darker green and cream, the gown features a fitted bodice below a wide V-shaped collar that extends to the waist, rounded neckline, pagoda sleeves, triple-layered box-pleated skirt, invisible set-in waistband, hook and thread closure at the back, fully muslin lined including collar lining. The gown is of couturier quality with intricate construction and stitching details thta belie the enderstated appearance. Appropriately sized for 16-17" Huret style poupee. Circa 1860.
