16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head with round facial modeling and plump cheeks, round glass googly side-glancing sleep eyes, thick dark eyeliner encircles the complete eye, short painted curly lashes, side-angled shaded brows, rounded nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth with watermelon-slice-shaped accented lips, brunette bobbed mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip-jointing, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: H made in Germany 12 JDK 221 Ges Gesch. Comments: Kestner, circa 1912, their trademarked model googly inspired by Rose O'Neill's Kewpie which they also produced. Value Points: very rare large size with outstanding quality of luminous bisque, fine painting, original wig, pate, body, body finish.
