Description

The pinafore style dress is constructed of very tightly woven lightweight wool in blue and white checkered pattern with V-shaped apron front, suspender straps, set-in waist with shaped banding on the inside, box pleats around the skirt and double inverted box pleats at each hip. The dress is trimmed with royal blue velvet ribbon, the bodice is fully lined, and the dress has six hook and loop closures at the back. Along with a white cotton blouse having lace edging. Circa 1860. The ensemble is appropriately sized for 15-17" poupee.
