Description

14" (35 cm). Having pale pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eye sockets, painted lashes, lightly arched brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with beautifully accented lips, pierced ears, and blonde mohair wig over cork pate. The doll has an all-wooden body with shapely torso and dowel articulation at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees and swivel wrists. She wears antique two piece cotton sateen dress of tiniest checks with maroon silk trim, maroon leather purse with gilt stars, red snood with red silk ruffle at the crown, undergarments, s hoes. Attributed to Pierre-Francois Jumeau, circa 1875.
