11" (28 cm.) Bisque swivel head with very pale complexion on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, cobalt blue glass enamel eyes, painted dark curly lashes, delicate brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, ears pierced into head, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with square cut collarette, gusset-jointed hips, stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: identical facial models have been found with B. Jne & Cie shoulderplate markings, the body style is that of Bru's marked poupees, circa 1860. Value Points: beautiful petite pale poupee with dramatic blue eyes, very sturdy near mint body, wearing original folklore style costume including fingerless gloves, taffeta cap and jacket, gold plate cross, red kidskin slippers.
