Bisque socket head,brown glass paperweight inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted curly lashes,brush-stroked and feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with shaded lips,pierced ears,brunette mohair wig over cork pate,on original French firm-shaped mannequin body with attached cast iron feet and painted shoes and stockings,arms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bru Jne R 14. Comments: Maison Bru,circa 1895,the firm presented a series of bisque heads for use of mannequin makers at this time. Value Points: rare Bru model with especially fine quality of bisque and painting,original mannequin body,and wearing fine antique brown velvet boy's three-piece suit with lace jabot,velvet cap,and carrying antique wooden spinning top and leather play ball.
