14" (36 cm.) Bisque swivel head on bisque shoulderplate depicting smiling lady, blue glass enamel inset eyes, delicately painted lashes and brows, aquiline nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth with slightly smiling expression, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, all-wooden fully-articulated body with dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles, and ball swivel at waist, kid collarette,(frail) antique dress is included. Condition: back shoulderplate has horizontal reglue extended across its length, otherwise excellent with minor scuffing to original body finish. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, the head model and body style were both deposed by him, circa 1867, the body style inspired by the artist mannequins of the late 18th/19th century. Value Points: appealing petite size with dainty smile, well-shaped carved body.
