Bisque shoulder head of adult lady with sculpted brown hair waved away from face and captured under a sculpted fancy bonnet that perches on the crown of her head, sculpted pierced ears, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms wearing black lace and beaded dress, undergarments. Condition: two early dark hairlines extend around shoulder plate, few tiny petal flakes on bonnet. Comments: Germany, circa 1870, few examples of this extremely rare model are known to exist. Value Points: rarity factors include glass eyes, brown hair, pierced ears, and fancy bonnet that is trimmed with blue ribbon band, Dresden flowers and very wide gilt-edged streamers that tie under the throat.
