30" (76 cm.) Bisque socket head with rounded facial modeling, very plump cheeks, large brown glass eyes which open and close from wire lever at back of head, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, rich mauve blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, shaded nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with pale outlined lips, dimpled chin and philtrum, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig over cork pate, French composition fully-jointed body with straight wrists, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, original body and body finish. Marks: Sie C 6 (incised on head) Bte SGDG Bourgoin (red ink script) J. Steiner (back of eyes). Comments: Jules Steiner, series C model, circa 1885. Value Points: very beautiful bebe with choicest bisque, complexion and painting, especially of lashes, brows, and eye shadow.
