Description
10" (25 cm.) standing lady. Each is porcelain with sculpted grey hair in the XVIII style and artistically-painted facial features,including half-doll with Dresden-floral coronet,with extended arms and holding a rose in her right hand,on original pin-cushion "skirt" base and with velvet and lace costume. Along with a porcelain shoulder head lady with modeled bosom,on original padded armature body and having porcelain hands with expressively-posed fingers,lace gown,who is posed on a rare leather-over-wood recamier with gold tooled decorations. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1910,shoulderhead lady is attributed to Dressel and Kister. Value Points: elegant scene,rarity factors include original skirted base of one lady,superb recamier,and seldom-found shoulderhead variation of classic half doll.
