Pressed bisque socket head with highly-characterized features,blue glass paperweight inset eyes,thick dark eyeliner,feathered brows,rose-blushed eye shadow,rounded nose with accented nostrils,closed mouth with well-defined space between the shaded and accented lips,pierced ears,extended-length auburn mohair wig over cork pate,French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent,body may not be original but is of the same era and is of appropriate style and size. Marks: B 3 M. Comments: Bebe Mothereau,circa 1882. Value Points: rare doll,outstanding character expression with remarkable sculpting especially around her lips,with dimpled chin,fine painting and complexion,wearing lovely coral silk dress,undergarments,ruffled bonnet,kidskin shoes.
