15" (38 cm.) A bisque-headed doll with blue glass sleep eyes,painted lashes and brows,accented nostrils,open mouth,four porcelain teeth,original brunette mohair wig over plaster pate,composition and wooden ball-jointed body,muslin chemise,is presented in her original sectioned box,along with three additional bisque heads designed to be interchangeably placed on the body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: B made in Germany 6 171 (full doll,other heads with unique model numbers: 182,183,and 179) Germany (body). Comments: Kestner,circa 1910,each of the three other rare bisque heads has original mohair wig over plaster pate,painted blue eyes and closed mouth,with variation of smiling or pouting expression. Value Points: pristine unplayed with condition,fine modeling and bisque,in original worn box with paper label having illustration of crown and "Kestner Character Doll".
