Description
15" (38 cm.) l. x 21"h. x 8"d. The wooden-framed two story house has lithographed paper cover, including faux-stone front, and brick-work at the sides and back. The front windows and door are framed with thick wooden strips with pencil-stripe detail, and there is a fancy metal railing that extends the entire width of the second floor and the windows of the first floor. A carved wide front door (possibly replaced) is hinged for opening. There is a crest carving at the front roof line that meets more metal railings at the side, creating an open-sky garden area on the roof. The front hinges open to two interior rooms with original floor and wall papers, possibly original curtains. The house is pencil-marked 19 and other illegible markings. Germany, circa 1890.
