Description
14" (36 cm.) A flat-back woven basket is filled with miniature softpaste creamy dishes decorated with colorful abstract flowers,including a covered tureen,with glass carafe and tumblers,and cutlery. Excellent condition. French,circa 1885,the set is preserved with its original paper and netting,as it was presented in Parisian holiday catalogs; the basket,known as "hotte" was a miniature version of traditional peddler's back-pack basket of the 19th century.
