35" (89 cm.) l. x 15"h. x 15"d. The two room dollhouse with original grey and blue finish has decorative wall and floor papers,a side window in the bedroom,back window in the parlor and a large opening between the two doors with carved detail of molding. The floors and walls are paper covered to simulate carpet and wall treatments including wainscoting and ceiling borders. An ormolu-framed crystal bead chandelier hangs in each room. The parlor is furnished with an eight-piece wooden set that is painted burgundy to simulate mahogany; and with gilt accents and patterned silk seats. Accessories include birdcage on ormolu stand,Art Nouveau and Cupid figurals,large gilt metal oil lamp,wine bottle and glasses,pressed tin wall clock,bronze dog and beaded carpet. The bedroom is furnished with an eight-piece painted white bedroom set accented with gilt trim in the Art Nouveau style,and is decorated with a vintage Christmas tree,bronze kitten,several framed prints and a glass birdcage. Six people are in the house,notably two moustached men in original military uniforms. Wall papers may not be original but are appropriate,white furniture has wear to the finish. Germany.
