8" (20 cm.) x 8". Following on safety concerns for young Shirley Temple, and as a public endorsement for other children to be fingerprinted, the Lion's Club of Santa Monica sponsored a program to that effect in 1938. All ten of Shirley's fingertips were printed, she was described as 7 1/2 years of age, weighing 65 pounds, with a height of 4' and 1 3/8", hazel eyes, medium build, and fair hair. Most interesting is her listed occupation: "motion picture star" and "honorary Capt of Police". With her official signature.
