Description
19" (48 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, large blue painted intaglio eyes with decorative glaze, thick dark upper eyeliner, one-stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast expression, impressed dimple in chin and lip corners, fleeced hair, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, some sparsity on fleeced hair. Marks: K*R 114X 49. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, rare solid dome variation of the classic 114 model, circa 1910. Value Points: very fine quality of sculpting and bisque especially around the eyes and mouth, original body and body finish on the rare model.
