Description
20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head with plump cheeks, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, shaded nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with shaded and accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with original metal hands. Condition: very faint hairline on right side of head through ear and below chin, faint hairline at back of head, otherwise excellent, original body and body finish. Marks: P. 3 D. Comments: Petit et Demoutier, circa 1880. Value Points: gorgeous rare bebe with luminous eyes, very fine delicate painting of complexion, rare original body.
