17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted facial features and hair, soft curls framing the face, grey/blue upper glancing eyes with spiral threading, black and brown upper eyeliner, accented nostrils, closed mouth, stitch-jointing at shoulders, separately-stitched thumbs, disc-jointing at hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse Germany (feet). Comments: Kathe Kruse, Series I, circa 1915. Value Points: pristine condition of the appealing wistful character, beautifully-painted face, wearing original costume and added apron, hankie and shawl.
