Description
20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head with amber tinted complexion, brown glass sleep eyes in angled eye socket cut, black painted lashes and brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, amber-tinted composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed in antique kimono. Condition: generally excellent, tiniest flakes at pierced ear holes. Marks: SH 1199 Germany Dep 9. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1900. Value Points: very fine modeling enhances the amber tinted complexion, glowing patina.
