28" (71 cm.) Bisque socket head, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes with darker blue outer rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined shaded lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: bisque head excellent, body not original. Marks: Bru Jne R 12. Comments: Maison Bru, Girard epoch, circa 1895. Value Points: beautifully-defined features with dramatic painting accentuating the brilliant deep blue eyes, lovely antique costume including embroidered cape.
